There's not much prettier than colorful glass in the oregon winter! have been using a premix grout adhesive. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I have been having some problems with cracking...I've had to remove some tiles. I'm thinking I'm going to switch over to another product that is a thinset with an acrylic adhesive that has more give to it. i think the rigidity of the material I was using was causing my tiles to crack. They are actually bigger than tesserae. I do love tesserae! They are cost prohibitive for me....in fact most glass tile is! I'm afraid my brilliance has been motivated by finding a way around the monetary limitations!!!! This project is a very long term one. I have many others that are all evolving as I go. I love the enameling for its mosaic applications as well as jewelry. It has a lot of outdoor durability that paint lacks and I am a huge gardener and lover of outdoor sculpture. less

Sorry for all the questions...I just see this, and having done mosaic as well, I had a surge of curiousity hit me! I love this and would have NEVER thought to use enamel pieces as tesserae! You're brilliant!!!!!!
