Although the porcelain enamel appears fine, I still grind it on a glazed white tile with a painter's knife and a little turpentine or even better pure lavender oil. It is closer to porcelain painting in some ways.
As far as tools go, anything that you feel could work for the portion you are doing: very fine sable brush, bamboo toothpick, sewing needle, one hair from my head....
It also requires multiple firings, sometimes over 30 of them. Aso keep in mind that heavy lines and shadow ereas should be fired separately. less
