This is the back of the broach. I chased the pattern on the back and gold plated it. Adds a bit of interest and is easier than polishing the back to a perfect mirror finish.

Love the idea of back decoration- how did you retain the silver color around the gold plating- do they paint something on the silver to protect it from the plating?
