Panel Discussion: New Visions in Enamel

                                                               Saturday, April 2, 2016 | 1 pm

"New Visions in Enamel" features three leading figures in the contemporary enamels and jewelry fields: Jessica Calderwood, David Freda, and Barbara Seidenath. Each artist will show images of his or her work along with that of emerging artists in the fields of enamels, jewelry, and metals. The panel is moderated by Bernard Jazzar, president of the nonprofit Enamel Arts Foundation.

Also on hand will be Hal Nelson, noted curator and scholar in the field. The foundation's exhibition Little Dreams in Glass and Metal: Enameling in America, 1920 to the Present, is currently on view at the Craft and Folk Art Museum (CAFAM). It is the first nationally traveling exhibition of enamel arts in more than 50 years. The panel will be followed by a free tour of Little Dreams at CAFAM, which is just a block east of LACMA on Wilshire Boulevard.
