On a disc of copper, I first used flux and transparent colors with a stencil to get the background pattern behind the woman's head. I also used a stencil to enamel the design on the back. Afterwards, I electroformed the whole piece. The copper built up on the edges of the piece which of course, were unprotected copper and also in all the areas where the enamel did not cover the metal on the front as well as the back. Then I enameled my photograph of a good friend from another country on the front of the piece. And oh yes...the chain is paper clips!
Also, I electroform almost all the corrugated copper mesh that I use on my other pieces to give strength and also form variation.
