Hi Jennifer thank you for your comment ,14k gold is stronger than 18k . That,s the reason I prefer 14k .This piece is cast , just like the butterfly ruby. I made only one wing.

If you do the enamelling first and then setting the stones and the enamel is breaking , just put  the piece for another two minutes in the oven and your problem is solved.

nice p-a-j work.  Was it difficult to enamel on 14k?  I've always been told to use 18k green gold.  Did you cast this piece or pierce it?  And one more question.  How did you add the pave diamonds on the wing tips?  every time I try to add
