It prints the paper texture & pattern in... moreHello Gill, this is made by cutting out & texturing a small piece of watercolour paper the shape of the central cell; lubricating it well and rolling it over a slab of silver clay (art clay silver). It prints the paper texture & pattern in reverse. I dry, add findings & fire the silver clay then add the wires using a technique developed by Joy Funnell, dipping the wires in art clay overlay silver paste & firing then. Polish & burnish and then enamel in the usual way. Joy Funnell & I both teach enamelling on art clay in the UK. The spooky buildings are enamel on steel :-) less
