I call this "Before Man" because I used fossilized sharks teeth and the pendant looks like a world (globe) before man was on this earth (to me). 

I don't remember the exact enamel used on the pendant, but I fired the piece exactly the same as you

I call this "Before Man" because I used fossilized sharks teeth and the pendant looks like a world (globe) before man was on this earth (to me). 

I don't remember the exact enamel used on the pendant, but I fired the piece exactly the same as you would ceramics after previously firing the pendant in my kiln.  The dome of the copper piece helped the enamel slide around during the raku firing.  The result was a happy accident - can't be duplicated.  You are looking at bare copper sealed with Nickolas spray sealer. I made the copper clasp.  there are bone, raku and lampwork beads in the necklace. 

 I have another raku fired piece where the enamel stayed intact, but silver trails showed up. the enamel was also fired on copper so the silver had to be in the blue enamel I used.

I thought I knew most of the enamelist in the USA and some abroad, and now I realize this family is much bigger than I ever imagined. Where are all of these enamelists during our Enamelist Conference?
