Initially I used a hard white followed by victorian red, white again then orange. The shape of the flowers was done with a patternĀ cut-out piece of paper towel- like you might do to make a snow-flake. As for the design...I wanted something that would high-light all the colors and slightly off-set the pattern pieces to create a non-traditional look.
