It really was a first attempt, I really enjoyed painting it. I am on a degree course for jewellery design and this was a one semester course and I really relished the opportunity to do some painting, in whatever medium. I used enamelling overglaze powders, mixed with lavender oil, and fired it layer by layer at around 700-740 degrees C. ? Your work is so vivacious, and you have so much more experience, I'm sure your first attempt will be much better.

Thank you so much!! i still have a long way to go though. There were lots of bubbles, and the edges of the painting dissappeared into the background. Maybe I was firing it at too high a temperature.

What I love about this first attempt - which is unbelievable - that it also looks like an old piece from a museum - you have a great style - keep it up.
