Thanks Trish... I start with the base colors on both sides (usually a complimentary color on the back, the same as the clasp bar) then draw the pattern on and fire, then the colors painted in, fire again then touch up any lines that faded and fire

I start with the base colors on both sides (usually a complimentary color on the back, the same as the clasp bar) then draw the pattern on and fire, then the colors painted in, fire again then touch up any lines that faded and fire again... during the whole process I try to under fire until the last firing. So I would say usually 5 or 6 firings (depending on touch ups!).
