I like all these brooch/pendants a lot. Hoe do you make them? I don't understand very well how you make them, though. Is the graphit drawing made on the emamelled surface? Or is part of the enamel etched, and on it comes the graphit? What about the firescale, when do you add that? The result is very unique.
I also use etching, on overglaze which I add on the enamelled surface.

by blurring i mean i use the graphite and then use my finger to blur it. i don't want people misunderstanding the fact that the white isn't crisp. if i didn't blur the graphite, the white would be crisp. i am very mentally distracted by
by blurring i mean i use the graphite and then use my finger to blur it. i don't want people misunderstanding the fact that the white isn't crisp. if i didn't blur the graphite, the white would be crisp. i am very mentally distracted by environmental degradation, and some images of the melting sea ice in the arctic were in a sierra magazine i get, and this is an abstract version of that image. the floating enormous ice blocks were white but with "shading" if you will due to the angle of the light and i represented that with the blurring.
Anne... very interesting pieces! I am not sure that I understand fully the technique: Blurring means enhancing the boarder line of the graphite drawing using a diamond blur?
