Harry, the buttermilk enamel with soft flux over and high fired really gives all sorts of effects. The inside of the bowl is just a flux and a red transparent.

Interesting, Tom. The scraffito seems to be a minor part of the effect. The interior is superb.  I'll now go and switch on the kiln.

Thanks Trish. No, it is a result of scrafitto in an opaque enamel, a soft flux sifted on and then fired high.

Tom, the bowls are beautiful - did you use separation enamel on them?
