Thanks Chris.  Argentium is more malleable and ductile than standard sterling.  I use it for everything now, it's a great metal.  However, just like standard sterling, it has its quirks.  You need to read up on how to use it before trying it.  All

Thanks Chris.  Argentium is more malleable and ductile than standard sterling.  I use it for everything now, it's a great metal.  However, just like standard sterling, it has its quirks.  You need to read up on how to use it before trying it.  All of the sheet Argentium in the US is .930 which has too low of a melting point to enamel.  This piece is .970 which isn't made anymore.  Now they make .960 which can be enameled.  You need to mechanically remove the layer of germanium oxide from the surface before enameling, I use 3M bristle wheels.  In the US you can get .960 casting shot from G&S Metals if you want to roll your own sheet, and sheet from either Italy or the UK.  Hope this helps.  Jim
