No frogs were harmed in the making of this piece, Maria! Deciding what it should look like is the essence of any artistic process, isn't it? I just fiddle around with it until it looks ok. I do look at a lot of pictures of south american and australasian

I do look at a lot of pictures of south american and australasian frogs to familiarise myself with how they look, but I am trying to capture the character of the frog and be amusing, rather than depict every detail. I failed to get the right number of fingers and toes on this one (Doh!)
Using a lot of Schauer opaques, lots of Soyer translucents, as well as old Blythes. This green is from Vitrum Signum PJE Light Green (i can give you the number but ill need to check it - let me know)
I misled you about the green on this piece, Maria. It is Schauer 19A , sometimes called tr. leaf green.

I really like your frogs, but just a silly question: How do you know how a flat frog looks? ;-)
And, which colours do you use?
