Mark Morris good morning. Sorry but I'm not the author, I' the collector of masterpieces. The thickness is about 1,5 mm. To avoid warping the author prepares the plate already bent convex of around 2 - 3 cm, and beside applies a tall thickness of opposite enamel.
This is a really nice painting. 35x25cm is much bigger than I'm used to working with, what is the thickness of copper that you use for this? And do you get any problems with warping with so many firings?
not less than 30 firing step. In Limoges (French) is remaining some artist family which maintain this classical and old "email peint" style. Beside my lab where done a 5 day seminar to lern this technique.
