I like your work here! I am just getting into champleve using gravers so I have a couple of technical questions for you. Are the excavations etched or engraved? Did you find that you needed to use scrapers to level the surface within the excavations prior to using gravers for the ornamentation? How deep would you estimate the excavations to be?
i use to engrave by hand on plain surface of gold or silver .
