  • Joanne Conant Yes, I fabricated each ring to fit the enamel. I also made a simple stop so that the piece could stay open or it could be closed. The solder is 63/37 and 60/40 bought from the hardware store. It's low firing. I make my own flux since I haven't been able...  more

    The rim is made of pewter. Pewter is very easy to work with and I use it a lot with my enamels. You can solder right next to the enamel without hurting it.
