From the Mailbox,
Friends,
I can't believe it's been several months since my last report on the progress of my jewelry art. Nevertheless, I'll keep it short and strive to send more frequent updates.
1. My work is part of the
Contained Exhibition being held at the
KOBO Gallery at Higo
(a former Japanese variety store in Seattle's International District). The dates are
September 30 - October 21, 2017 with artist receptions on September 30, 2-5 pm and October 15, 3-5 pm. Here's a recently-completed piece in the exhibition that I call
Night Wind Spirit. It is a silver brooch-pendant designed around a fabulous Botswana agate cabochon I came across at a rock show, plus a gray mabe pearl and white topaz stones.
2. Visit the
Museum of Glass in Tacoma where I currently have two lines of work:
Blurred Vision pieces made with fantastic dichroic glass cabochons and enameled
Celestial earrings. These lines have sold well, and I expect to add new pieces there in early October. See below my
Fireworks brooch-pendant and a pair of
Harvest Moon earrings.
I am waiting to hear about my acceptance to some holiday art shows and will keep you posted on other locations where you may find me and my work in the months ahead.
As always, thanks for your interest in my artistic journey and all the best as the leaves fall and blustery weather sets in.
