    Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
    There are some cases where a custom-made clasp is needed to properly finish a necklace, pendant or bracelet. During this workshop we will cover: toggle clasps, barrel clasps, spring plunger clasps, and box catches.

    • Now in its 52nd year, this juried outdoor art show brings 25,000 visitors to the heart of picturesque historic Lewiston, New York. The festival attracts art lovers from Western New York and Southern Ontario, as well as international visitors from Niagara Falls, 10 minutes away.
    • Work by more than 175 exceptional artists is featured in a wide range of both fine art and artistic craft categories.
    • New for 2018: More Prize Categories! Cash and ribbon prizes valued at $6000 are awarded to artists in 9 categories, Best Booth Display and Best of Show. There is no additional charge to compete for prize money.

Fun House invites artwork submissions that celebrate all that a Fun House offers: the marvelous, disorienting, seductive, disquieting, and surreal. Fun House seeks works that engage with the real/unreal, the miniature and the gigantic, optics and illusion, and/or the politics of display. Fun House welcomes the quirky, the absurd, and the unconventional Artists are invited to provide a juxtaposition of traditional styles and cutting-edge practices. In addition to 2D works in all media, sculpture. installation, digital, video and interactive works are all encouraged.     "Elements" is a group show centered around the four elements of nature; earth, wind, water, and fire. The Vanessa Lacy Gallery is accepting any and all mediums and subjects, as long as they fit the "Elements" theme. Some themes include, but are not limited to, abstracts, landscapes, weather, prairie fire, nature, and river scenes. All artwork must be original and available for sale.~~

    Artists find their calling at all different stages of life, some early on and others further down the road. This exhibition celebrates the determination and passion of those who have pursued an artistic path after initially choosing another career or field of study.  

    The exhibition will be held in spring 2018 at Peters Valley School of Craft’s Sally D. Francisco Gallery. Peters Valley is one of the country’s premier craft schools, offering immersive summer workshops for beginners to professionals taught by prominent artists in eight professional studios. We are a not for profit 501c(3) organization established in 1970 in partnership with the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in New Jersey.

    TEJAS Gallery in Dayton, Ohio is seeking submissions for The Millennial Show, a juried exhibition featuring millennial artists that were born between 1980-2000. TEJAS Gallery is part of K12 Gallery & TEJAS, an art center that has two large gallery spaces, art studios, and classrooms.   The galllery works to showcase both student and emerging artists in their careers and offers studio classes throughout the week that use the galleries as an educational tool for encouraging the develpement of student artists.  
    The Millenial Show strives to feature artists that have grown up utilizing the internet and other digital technologies.  By exhibiting a range of media, the gallery hopes to create an interesting range of visions, viewpoints, and styles created by contemporary millennial artists.
