Have you registered for our Virtual Passport Lecture Series in collaboration with Pocosin Arts? There's still time! Japanese goldsmith Kaori Juzu leads a special enamel workshop, Unique Expression with Enamel—Colour and Shape, on October 26th.
The series begins Friday, October 25th, with lectures from Juzu on Contemporary Enamel Jewelry and guest speaker Eighteen Yuan, who will discuss jewelry as a sensitive language.
University and college classes can register for special watch party pricing, and all SNAG members receive discounted registration!
In this workshop with Juzu you’ll discover techniques such as sifting dry enamel onto organically shaped copper and mastering the manipulation of the enameled surface. Instead of enameling on a flat metal surface, we will transcend boundaries to allow abstract forms—whether geometric or organic—to unfold in space. This is a beginning-level workshop, but the basics of enameling are helpful.
