I use vintage Thompson leaded enamels and was stuck because you really need the vintage leaded flux to use with them. Well, I found someone on ebay who has it. Please know that I am NOT affiliated with this seller in any way, but I have tried this flux and it works beautifully. It's what finally helped me transcend the 'cracking enamel' syndrome, woo hoo!
If you, too, need the vintage leaded flux, I can't be 100 percent certain that this is Thompson -- but it works extremely well. Here is the link:
