I use a HVLP Detail mini air spray gun item #46719 from harbor freight. Clogging occurs when the enamel is either to thin (watery), the sand will clog the intake or to thick. If this happens just pour out the enamel into a container and rinse the gun out. Put your finger in front of the nozzle and over the cup hole and pull the trigger. This will force a back flow cleaning the gun. Then spray clean water through the gun. Your ready to start over. The gun I use is a top feed. I find this works better then a bottom suction. The pressure I use is 25-35 psi. I spray at a distance of 1-2 feet away from my project and dry with a hair dryer. Good luck Charles
I would welcome suggestions for a suitable spray gadget for applying liquid enamels. I imagine that they clog up most units....so do not want to buy something which will be ruined quickly.
thanks
Jackie
