I would suggest you email Tom Ellis at Thompson Enamels who can give you the scientific make up of separation enamel and if you can apply it to ceramics.
Thanks Trish, I suspect it can be if it's a low melter . Just need to know what chemicals are there so I don't get a bad interaction with the fired white cone 6 glaze basecoat. I fire enamels on already glazed pieces for a watercolor like effect. I like them better than china paints.
I am looking for information about the composition of separation enamel. I want to try to use it for a ceramic technique and would like to minimize problems by knowing it's composition. Some glazes I use "play" better with some glass elements than others do and I can minimize my chances of failure by knowing which to use with the separation enamel.
