Hallo Gill,
If you don't like traditional framing, there are not so much alternatives to mount the pieces. Many years ago I saw in an exhibition enamelled disks mounted onto exotic wood-slices and on colored acryl-glass slices. These combinations then were arranged into necklaces, bracelets and brooches. Naturally these combinations are purely a matter of taste.
The well known goldsmith and enamel artist Bill Harper mount his enamels in extraordinary frames. Here:

you find many pictures of his work.

hi edmund, thanks for the reply i looked at the link to bill harper his work is so lovely and exciting, thanks for the tip, what amazing pieces he makes wow
and edmund what i really love is the raggedy random sence to his setting really cool and unorthodox, whish i could affoard the gold !!!
If you want to connect the enamelled pieces without any frame, you can glueing a attachment to the back of the enamelled pieces. Because my hands not longer allow precision work, here only a raw example. I think it shows what I mean. You can glue it with two-component-glue or with assembly glue. You can the enamels and the pearls with thin, plastic coated bead stringing-wire string. Such wires you get in different sizes by goldsmith suppliers, for example here:
