Sharpie ink on sifter mesh?

    Well, to answer my own question: I used my glass brush to gently scrub away the ink -- and nearly all of it came away. The mesh seems fine and so far, no specks in my work.

    I would not worry about the ink - but if you would rather have it gone, use a bit of acetone to rub it off then washed with soap and water.

    I just received an order of 80-mesh sifters from Lonnies, and am appalled to see that they wrote 80 across the mesh of each sifter with what appears to be a Sharpie pen. Has anyone else run into this?

    I'm concerned that the enamel might flake away specks of ink, which I clearly don't want in my work. I called Lonnies and they said no one has ever complained before.

    Am I worried about nothing?
