I have found the best current book on stone setting is Creative Stonesetting byJohn Cogswell. It's a hardback with many illustrations and lots of information. It just under 200 pages, and retails for about $35. It goes a little less in depth on some of the traditional settings but covers a much wider variety of potential settings.
