Hi one an all,
My name is Garfield and I helped with the migration of the site from Ning to this platform called Social Engine. It offers greater creative control and customizability. However, it can get difficult to get used to as things are done differently than were done on the old site. Some things here are flexible while some are not. I am here to answer any questions in this disuccion.
Any questions you ask will be helpful for fellow members who may have the same question so don't feel any question is stupid. We all learn just as I am learning along the way I have to ask questions myself. Those questions may be on a different level technology wise but are asked with the same curiosity to learn something so I can relate to where you are coming from. If I don't have an answer right away I'll do my best fo find out and get back to you.
Thank you
Garfield.

Hi Garfield,
Question: In the old system it was possible to zoom an image to see the small details. Is there any possibility to have this function in the new website?
Thank you

Not too sure about zooming on the old system. I know there was a way to view a bigger version of the image but I may be misunderstanding you. A possible workaround on a PC is to press and hold the CTRL key on the keyboard and press the + sign on the computer to zoom in closer on a page. Hope this helps.
Garfield, I have tried your proposal with CTRL and +. Unfortunately this does not seem to work for zooming. In the old system when you clicked on a photo, a plus sign appeared and you could zoom in on the picture. This plus sign does not show up in the new system if you click on a photo.
It's a tricky situation, I understand exactly what you are talking about. I've seen this on Amazon and other web sites. However, I don't recall seeing this feature on the old site. I even have a version of the platform that is the same and in reviewing the photo module I don't see it and Trish doesn't recall it either. It doesn't mean that I don't understand what you are talking about but I just don't recall this feature as part of the old network.
This may be however something that could be added to our current site using code. I will review and update this discussion with what I find.
Hello Garfield.
Why to post a picture in the gallery you need to install Adobe Flash Player. ???
On the old side you can publish without player

Hi Leszek,
I am not to clear on the issue you are facing. Please know you need adobe flash player for a lot of things on the internet. You Tube, Facebook, and many sites need adobe flash on the browser. Some programs use adobe flash for assisting the process of uploading. Even the old site needed adobe flash for some uploading options like uploading multiple videos and photos.
There are a couple of possibilities.
1) Adobe flash player for the browser needs an update. This happens all the time and is for adobe flash for the browser on your computer to work well.
2) Recently flash has been having security issues and some browswers turn it off by default. When you go to a site they make the responsibility your to choose to "activate it" or "not activate" This way if you "activate it" and you get a virus they don't have to be responsible for it. They can say you went to a site that you choose and you activated flash player and they didn't tell you to go to the site and activate flash player.
Adobe flash player is for browsers and not for your computer. So it is not that you need it for any single site. You need it for your browser to view any site that uses adobe flash to make using any site easier.
It's kind of hard to answer your question without an exact example of where and what steps caused the issue but I hope what I said here helps. If you have more specific information and need more help please let me know.

Hello
Thank you for the quick reply.
I do not have the Adobe Flash Player. Loading a only to insert photos of you in an album. The forum also upload a picture without the plug and the album did not.
I have Mozilla and Facebook, You Tube does not need Adobe flash player.
Regards
ps. Here I put the picture without flash player
Yes, I understand. Adobe flash is used loading photos for albums I believe because it help you to upload multiple photos at one time. You are right loading pictures in the forum does not require it. Loading single picture does not require adobe flash player.
Do albumu nie wgrasz zdjęcia bez adobe flasch player.
Pozdrawiam
Hi Garfield,
I have erroniously opened up a new album which is empty. I wanted to delete using the delete button on the site but it said I am not entitled to manipulate it because it is a private site. How can I delete this album? Thank you!
Hi Gabor,
Thank you for pointing this out. I have made an adjustment in our member settings. You and any other member (who may do what you unintentially did) should be able to now delete the additional untitled album.
