i was trying to figure out the best way to mount a tiled backsplash piece behind a stove. i was thinking the best way would be to grout the tiles to a piece of wood that has a frame around it and that whole piece can be hung.
any other ideas would be appreciated.
thank you.
Screw concrete board to the wall, and use thinset to mount the tile. Grout the joints.
thank you
I have been a tile setter and mason for over 40 years. I thought that you +were mounting a perminate tile back splash. If your making a framed tile piece you can use mastic. This is a tile glue. I don't like mastic for perminate tile placement, but for a framed tile project, mastic might be the best way to go. I hope this helps.
