As we know, Metal Clay is not a cheap product and the price of Metals in general is soaring every day. Â Lucky for me, I live in New York and Refineries are just a train ride away. I walk in with my box of silver and gold scrap, pieces of broken jewelry and walk away with a nice size check.
For those artists who do not have a refinery near you, Rio Grande is now taking Metal Clay scrap as well as all other metals by mail.

The refiner I use is, ROSS PRECIOUS METALS CORP. (RPM)
               47 West 47th Street
               New York, NY 10036
               212-221-4500
               www.rosspreciousmetals.com
Not to be confused with "Ross Metal Refinery and and Findings" across the street - They are listed in the supplier list - They sell metals, findings, etc. and also refine. I don't know if you walk away with a check as I have not used them - A little to rush rush and chaotic when you go in there - I have always liked RPM - its private, quiet and he takes his time.
They are family operated - been on the 11th floor for years - and they do all the chemical testing right in front of you if there is a question on the validity of the metal. You also walk away with a check. Â Â
