Ah yes. Dichro slide. I've used it. They tell you not to crinkle it up but it looks good that way. No way to do a "ripple effect" with the dichro slide. Kind of what I was after. Thank you for your reply.

If you were after a more structural look with Dichro slide you could try sculpting the enamel into ripples (I'm thinking something similar to the Fauré Technique) before you apply the foil. I've also had better luck applying Dichro slide in small squares over textured enamel or when I'm applying it to cloisonne. I wonder what would happen if Dichro slide was applied over a crackle base...

You know, I had a fleeting thought about Faure. Thanks for reminding me. I'm going to give it a try as I think it would be fairly easy to do in a jewelry application. Crackle base, hmmmm, interesting. They also sell something called Dichro Slide Frit. Not frit at all but little flat pieces, kind of like confetti. Must be capped with clear. I'll try that and see. The dichroic they sell for fusers is beautiful, and the choices or options are very large. You'd think that some manufacturer would exploit the market. I'll put it to CBS. Thank you for the reply.
