Hi! I use Transparent Mauve Purple 2760 from Thompson Enamels, sometimes even without flux, and have great luck on fine silver. Hope that helps!

katharine wood → Marsha Powell: Hi Marsha---just finished leaving a message for Tanya----this site is so much fun (and informative, too). Don't forget to post some of your great work!
Good to hear from you Katharine - It has been an empty time without Joseph, not only for myself but for all his other friends. My studio isn't quite the same without him. Lets get together sometime,
Trish

Oscar G. Herrera: Hi Katharine , I recently joined this wonderful site, it is nice to see you and your great work. A lot learned from a great teacher at the Museum. I will keep in touch. Oscar
Joseph taught me Separation Enameling and I love it - so unpredictable and so rewarding when it comes from the kiln - this was my best dish ever!

This is old work, but I should be photographing new work soon and posting it.

She was in every well-known NY gallery---Elements, Fairtree, Spring STreet Enamels, among others---and also sold at Bonwit Teller department store. She was also, like you, an amazing teacher, and I still bring in much of her incredible work to show my students. If you have the June 2007 Glass on Metal, I wrote an article about her life and work in it. Didn't mean to write such a long email, but there it is. I look forward to seeing your new work (I have to post my new work as well) Best, Katharine less

My mother (Antonia Schwed---alas, now deceased) and I took a workshop from you many, many years ago at the 92nd St Y. I still have my notes, and remember it as being one of the best workshops. I see you are still creating beautiful work. All the best, Katharine Wood
