After that, put it in Sparex until clean. Usually it no longer has black areas after one or two annealing and pickling. However, I usually do the anneal/pickle procedure (with the Sharpee indicator) another 2 times. Rinse well after each pickle; I personally like to glass brush (gently) after the rinsing and before the next annealing. Hope this helps. (PS Sometimes you can just get a bad casting or castings...bring it back to the caster, if that is the case) less
