I think that enameling is magical, but beginners can sometimes miss the magic because of all the frustration. So I provide the students with a fine silver enamel cup and restrict them to cool colors. The design is up to them, but I suggest keep it simple. Usually most of the people in the class are able to finish a cloisonne necklace and leave excited about enameling. Jim

It looks like a flower but it's a crane!! I like this piece!! when you teach, do you give the students the same project to work on or do they get to pick their own designs? This is really lovely...I like the colors a lot!
