Enameling on steel

    I don't know where you live, but here in Boise I go to a metal's warehouse. There I can buy any kind of metal at any size for a low price. I get a 10' X 4' sheet cut into 2' strips for $80.00. Check around you local area for this service, O bet you'll find one. You won't have to pay shipping.

    Hi Vera,

    I clicked on the link you had posted here but its going to search engine. I have found some website and local store in Portland for cold rolled steel. I am posting some links here. I haven't contact them personally yet but I am going to Portland store soon and find more about it. I am looking for 18 gauge plates because I wanted to work on flat surface.     Hi Charles,

    i live near Portland. 430 miles from Boise. so its not that far. hopefully someday we can see each others work personally. i have found local store for cold rolled steel i am going there and find more about it. yes i will find out o bet if they are in Portland or not. thank you very much again for the information.

    Does anybody have experience with enameling on steel? What type of steel is better stainless or normal? I want to make belt buckle with etched design and enameled.What type of enamel to use?
