has someone a work instruction how one can produce decals in black and white or in color yourself? (Laserprinter?) If so, where can I buy the decal-paper and so on.

You can purchase decal paper from http:// www.beldecal.com- click on laser decal paper and select "clear." Not all laser printer works. Apple and HP are pretty reliable but you have to use just black and white. I don't know of any color sources to do this apart from working with a company for custom designs. Two companies I've ordered from who say they do custom (color) work are Stained Glass Elements (Netherlands) and Milestone Decal Art (NY). I have purchased both their pre-made color decals and they have been excellent. When you do your own black and white decals the end results fire to a sepia tone, not black. With self printed decals it's pretty similar to purchased ones except you need to let the ink set for about 5 minutes prior to the regular water soak and slide. Firing is around 1300-1350F for ~ 2 minutes at jewelry scale. Hope that helps!!!

I have used the beldecal.com decal paper Jewel mentions with both a black and white laser printer and a color laset printer. Firing times and temps for the color decals are much shorter and lower than black and white laser printed decals. The use of copper versus steel as the enamel surface introduces additional firing variances for color laser printed decals. My profile photo is an example of a laser printed color decal on enamel. I'll make a note to create and post a tutorial for color laser printed decals.
