I love how you associate colors with feelings and experiences too..whether I know it or not at the time, I think I'm trying to express some inner thought, feeling, conflict, etc...every time I make a piece. You are always so warm and helpful...thank you, thank you for that!

Think about the color wheel - maybe even make one with water colors - or print some from the internet - and put a couple of in front of your bench to let you eye refer too.
Remember complementary colors sit directly opposite each other on the color wheel chart and they make one another "Pop" so consider that when using colors in near chambers for drama.
I usually try to put a lighter shaded color against a darker shaded color in the next chamber to also create more definition between cells.
Refer to nature - even if you are doing very modern, abstract work. I try to keep in mind the amazing colors one sees next to each other in say... Flowers, and Tropical Beaches, Reef Fish, A Forest, Sunsets etc...
Colors resonate in all of nature - we are simply trying to express what has impacted us in our lives, through our work.
