I did two extra steps beyond regular wet blending to try to get more depth. First, I etched to the usual depth, dried it off and put some nail polish around the outer parts of the design and then etched some more. This gives that line that you see midway in many of the shapes. Then I did a subtle outlining of the shapes by mixing 50:50 painting flux (PF1) and a full shade darker transparent green that I had sifted to 250 mesh. I did one in a bluer green and one in a yellower green and I wet-packed each into the various edges all over in kind of an antiqueing effect. I fired this and then proceeded with regular wet-pack color blending of light green, medium green, and gold. I was pretty happy with the results. There is definitely more action in the color than without the extra steps. less
