Photo 21 of 24 in Jeanie Pratt

My new brooch, Joya del Mar is on its way to the Fauve Exhibition at Mobilia Gallery. I had fun playing with fine silver bobbin lace as the cells for cloisonne enameling. MATERIALS: Sterling silver, fine silver, 24K gold foil, nickel (pin findings), enamel
TECHNIQUES: Bobbin lace, cloisonné enamel, etched, fabricated PHOTO: Carol Holaday

Jeanie Pratt Thanks! I used 28 gauge wire for the lace. I first tried 30 gauge, but it didn't have enough depth in the cells. The back of the brooch is etched in a wave pattern. The pattern on the front is roller printed.

Neva Warnock I just posted about this possibility on FB in the Enamel Artist group - that piece is quite spectacular!
