adhering wires to vertical form

I recently took a workshop with Harlan Butt for doing cloisonne on a vertical surface (small vase form). He demonstrated using lily root powder for the glue to hold the wires until they were fused into the first layer of enamel. This is available from Coral at Enamelworks Supply in Seattle. There was a discussion of other glues, including the BlueStic, and why the lily root is the preferred method.... very strong and it burns out clear.

Pat Johnson in the UK told me she uses  wall paper paste for her verticle  surfaces.  Someone else told me about wall paper paste also.  It burns out clean, it's organic.  And a whole lot chearper than lily root.

You can get it at any home center.

    Edmund,

I saw Chantel's question but somehow missed the now VERY obvious reply function. It was not my intent to start a new discussion re: Blue Stick. I wonder if it is possible to move my post to the earlier discussion. Perhaps not important. I'll simply comment again, adding my reply to the other replies. Thanks.
