His energetic curiosity led him to develop direct flame and drip techniques as well as his most important discovery, the ability to sculpturally build up the surface of the vase with thick enamel.

The technique of fusing glass enamel onto metal with the use of an Acetylene, Propane, or Natural Gas torch.
